After becoming one of the youngest creative directors in the luxury industry with Oscar de la Renta, in 2004 Lippes launched his own collection, ADAM. It focuses on fresh and polished feminine American sportswear. ADAM, with a dedicated following for both its fashion and basics, has been featured in every major publication, including W, Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Allure, and the NY Times. In 2007 Lippes was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Also in the same year Lippes staged his first formal runway show during New York Fashion Week. With the success of the runway show, he not only achieved multiple covers of Women’s Wear Daily but also in October of 2007 Vanity Fair added him on its "Next Establishment" list in October 2007 and he is considered one of the most important designers of today by Vanity Fair magazine
The Adam Lippes brand was launched in fall 2013 to critical acclaim. The collection was inspired by classic elegance and luxury sportswear by the use of refined fabrics and impeccable tailoring. The Adam Lippes brand is focused on supporting and growing the luxury manufacturing facilities available in New York City.
